On Jul. 7-12, 2024, Yiping Chen and her students attended 2024 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing (IGARSS 2024) in Athens, Greece. Two research papers were presented in the form of oral presentation at the conference proceedings.

On June 26, 2024, at the invitation of Yiping Chen, Professor Lin Yang from the School of Geography and Ocean Science at the Nanjing University delivered an academic lecture at our institute titled "AI与大数据时代的土壤推理制图".
Professor Hongchao Fan delivered an academic lecture
On June 12, 2024, at the invitation of Yiping Chen, Professor Hongchao Fan from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology delivered an academic lecture titled "A Crowdsourcing Approach to Generate 3D Building Models."
Mangrove data collection on Qi'ao Island, Zhuhai
We conduct field measurements and surveys of the mangrove reserve on Qi'ao Island using handheld LiDAR, terrestrial LiDAR, and UAV. Collaborating institutions include the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and School of Geography and Planning, Sun Yat-sen University.
